Suggested Legislation to Repeal Arkansas’ Obamacare Laws
.
SUGGESTED LEGISLATION
TO REPEAL ARKANSAS’ OBAMACARE LAWS
In 2013, the Arkansas General Assembly adopted two parts of Obamacare. First, is a version of Obamacare Medicaid Expansion, which in Arkansas is known as the “Private Option.” The second part is a state-run Obamacare Exchange. Conduit for Action supports repeal of both laws.
1. REPEAL OBAMACARE MEDICAID EXPANSION IN ARKANSAS, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE “PRIVATE OPTION” OR “OBAMACARE PRIVATE OPTION”
UPDATED 1/22/2015: CFA’s suggested repeal bill has been revised. The revised bill and explanation can be read by following this link. [READ HERE]
2. REPEAL AUTHORIZATION FOR A STATE RUN OBAMACARE EXCHANGE
State-run Obamacare Exchanges have failed in several states and more states have refused to create one. In 2013, Arkansas authorized the creation of a state-run Obamacare Exchange but it has not been implemented yet. This bill would repeal the authorization and avoid the costly program.
Thank you CFA . Thanks for all you are doing for ARKANSAS.
