Tennessee defeats plan to follow Arkansas into Obamacare Medicaid Expansion
Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam’s proposed the adoption of a plan called “Insure Tennessee”. Like Arkansas, the plan would have adopted Obamacare Medicaid Expansion with some federal waivers. The Tennessee governor spent months trying to sell his plan to Tennessee Voters and nearly two years on developing the plan.
A special session was called to try to pass the plan, but it was defeated by the Tennessee Senate Health Committee on Wednesday, Feb 4, 2015 by a vote of 7-4.
