Arkansas House of Representatives Committee Assignments
The 92nd General Assembly began Monday, and for the first time the House Speaker appointed all committee assignments, including chairs and vice chairs. Rep. Matthew Shepherd (R-El Dorado) will serve as the house speaker and has released his committee assignments for the 92nd General Assembly.

House committees have 20 members, with a Chairperson and Vice-Chair.
Rep. Joe Jett (R-Success) will return as Chair of perhaps the most powerful committee – Revenue and Taxation.
The other chairs are:
Education – Bruce Cozart (R- Hot Springs), Chair
Judiciary – Carol Dalby (R – Texarkana), Chair
Public Health, Welfare and Labor – Jack Ladyman (R – Jonesboro), Chair
Public Transportation – Mike Holcomb (R – Pine Bluff), Chair
Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative, Military Affairs – Charlene Fite (R – Van Buren), Chair
Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development – Dan Douglas (R – Bentonville), Chair
City, County, Local – Lanny Fite (R – Benton), Chair
Insurance and Commerce – Mark Lowery (R – Maumelle), Chair
